A mass masala flick, Badmash is produced by Dr G. Nagaiah. Presently, a song which goes 'Makareena Makareena Manasaaganandi' is being choreographed by choreographer Sekhar on the lead pair in Goa.

"For all of us, college life is full of sweet memories. Several lives take so many twists from their college life. However, college students are not just frivolous. They too have a kind heart. Elders should understand the youth. Vandemataram Srinivas’ direction capabilities and his music would remain a highlight of the movie," producer Nagaiah said.

Director himself is the music composer. Chandramohan, Suman, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, MS Narayana, Gayatri and others are in the cast. GP Siddartha Films Academy will release the movie in April.

Badmash Movie Review:

Popular music director Vandemataram Srinivas is better known for his folk based songs. He had turned into an actor for a movie called ‘Ammulu’. This time around he gets hold of the directorial mike with the film ‘Badmash’. Let’s see how his directorial venture is.

Avinash is a typical good for nothing chap, or so he seems though he finds a seat in an engineering college with strict disciplinary rules. The college principal, Nagi Reddy, doesn’t like sports, or fun or the typical love stories that happen in colleges. His daughter Amrutha, is much like him and she too studies in the same college.

Avinash, who is a kind of a rebel, atleast for the college, helps a college mate and her boyfriend. In the process Amrutha, changes her views about college-love stories and falls madly for Avinash. When the girl’s father comes to know of it, the hero challenges him on phone to find who he is if he can. Apart from various other side tracks, how long Avinash keeps the girl’s father from recognizing his true side forms the rest of the story.

The comedy department headed by Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam is good. He’s got probably more footing in the film than the heroine has (minus the songs). Venu Madhav impresses every time with special comedy tracks written for him and Suman Shetty evokes few laughs too. New comer Ekta resembles Hansika Motwani in many ways, and tries to be as much glamorous as she can, while also mixing it up with traditional wear. She tries to get her chemistry with the hero of the film with some success.

The themes the film touches are worth discussing on big screen at a deeper level.

Debutant hero Naga Siddharth needs to work on his diction, dialogue delivery, dance, expressions and body language. Basically everything. The guy who acted as a sadistic villain does pretty ordinary job. However, it is not because of them that the film looks like badly mashed potato. It is the script that calls for serious questioning, from the beginning to the end.

Out of 60 odd scenes that a typical serious version of a two and a half hour film needs, less than half of them are dedicated to touch serious issues. The other scenes are spent in creating comedy scenes between those serious moments. And finally the climax is haphazardly done.

Though the songs are pretty unnecessary, it is the choreography that fails the songs which are picturized a bit carefully. Vandemataram Srinivas has shown some improvement with his music but the film never manages to say what its USP is. The director in Vandemataram Srinivas doesn’t make a mark at all. Casting and editing should have been done more carefully.

Telugu directors, especially the first timers, are showing some level of talent in individual scenes. But most of them have been failing to keep the momentum after such a scene arrives. ‘Badmaash’ too suffers from the samMusic director-turned-director Vandemataram Srinivas directional movie Badmash has completed its shooting and the movie bosses are planning to release the audio on May 20. The movie stars Naga Siddharth and Ekta Kapoor
in the lead.

Producer says, "We gave good preference for entertainment too. The hero’s characterization would be quite energetic. We unveiled a novel angle in love subject. The shooting of the film was complete. We are planning to launch the audio on May 20 and are making efforts to release the film in June."

Speaking on the occasion, the director says, "The path we tread in our college life would decide our future. At the same time, the memories of college life would be memorable in one’s life. We are trying to explain the value of college life and how beautiful it would be in our film. Definitely the film would attract the present generation of audiences as well as the elders."

Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, MS Narayana, Venumadhav, Suman, Dr G Nagaiah, Babu Mohan and others are in the cast. Story is by PV Giri and dialogues are by Veligonda Srinivas. The movie is produced by by Dr G. Nagaiah on the banner of GP Sidhartha Film Academy.Ace music director Vande Mataram Srinivas’s directorial venture ‘Badmash’ has completed its shooting and has entered the post production stage.

Produced by G.P.Siddarth Film Academy’ Dr.G.Nagaiah, Naga Siddarth makes his debut as the hero and Ektha is making her debut as heroine in this movie. The film unit in a press release informs that the shooting is complete. The debutants have acted well.

The movie is based on today’s youth. Comedy has been given complete preference and the concept of love has been shown in a new way. The hero’s character would be a highlight as it is quite jovial and can be related to real life.

The producers of the movie, plan to release the audio of the movie on the 20th of May and the movie is slated to release in June.
